"I have a Callaway hickory shafted Wedge I received in 1990. The shaft is cracked and I would like to replace it. Where can I purchase a new or used replacement shaft."
| 2007-05-26 The only Callaways I've seen has a steel rod in the shaft. Don't know where you might find one. I have one of the wedges, if you just want to replace or I guess buy mine and put the shaft in your club, just let me know. My club is stamped "Third wedge 59 degrees" and "soft high lob 40 yards or less". Mine looks to be near mint condition. it also had "Bank of Boston" logo on the back. | 2007-05-26 These shafts had a steel tube core. You will hav to find another club to get the shaft from or just replace it with a steel shaft. If you try to replace the shaft with just hickory it will break again. The clubs do appear on Ebay. Regards, Tad Tad Moore |
| 2007-05-15 Two possible sources come to mind. If you contact www.callawaygolfpreowned.com , you may be able to purchase just the shaft, but more than likely, they can sell you a used wedge with the hickory shaft (with the steel core). If the wedge is not the loft or in the condition that you want, have the shaft pulled and installed in your head. www.clubfinders.com might be able to supply you with a club that has this particular shaft, and again, you could have it pulled and installed in your head.
