The annual Onion Creek Hickory Classic is one of the “major” hickory golf events on the yearly hickory golf calendar. Why? It’s got a little of everything. There’s a match play event with visitors from Canada. There’s the annual First Tee hickory competition. And there’s the Classic itself with 36 holes of stroke play competition, trade show tables and good food after golf on Saturday. There’s likely to be a guest speaker, too, as the event’s organizers have had some great one’s in the past. This is to be announced later.
