2023 National Hickory Championship
June 8, 2023 - June 10, 2023
Host and organizer Pete Georgiady has announced that the 2023 version of this pre-1900 tournament will be at the familiar Mound Golf Course in Miamisburg, Ohio, southwest of Dayton. The course, near 37-acre Mound Park with its large pre-historic burial mound, hosted the event from 2018-2021. It was played at the Foxburg CC last year. Georgiady says he hopes to eventually establish a rotation of perhaps three courses on which the NHC, now in its 26th year, will be played.
For 2023, the venerable NHC will present it usual formats including a feather-ball match on the first day of competition. As well, the return of the Vintage Division allows play for those who have not yet acquired a taste for gutty golf.
Georgiady will email tournament information packets to past players in the coming days.
