This is the 12th year for this great western hickory golf outing. It’s a popular event that annually attracts upwards of 70-90 players from around the country, many looking to Arizona for a winter retreat.  Enter and book your travel plans now. Well, at least do so by Feb. 3, the entry deadline. Early entries are appreciated.

“We will have multiple hickory play divisions for gross and net winners. Lots of awards, fun and food,” says event director Ken Holtz. “Just ask those who played last year … we had a wonderful time! And if you are “New to Hickory Golf” we will have a separate division just for you. Please come and join in the fun and try the hickory golf experience. Connect with the past and have a blast.”

Hickory club equipment rentals will be available. The tournament uses pre-1935 SoHG-approved clubs. It is two days of medal play in both gross and net divisions.

Championship Division: Age 59 and Under
Senior Division: Age 60-69
Super Senior Division: Age 70 and Over
“New To Hickory” Division: Any Age
Ladies Division: Any Age

Following an optional practice day on Feb. 23, day one begins on the Grandview Golf Course. Day two is on the Pebblebook Golf Course. Overall 1st Place Low Gross in the Championship Division will be recognized as the Arizona Desert Hickory Champion.
