Oct. 24, 2017 – The weather was perfect for the Indiana Hickory Open, held at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Evansville, Ind., Oct. 21-22. Friday was a shamble format with the two-day tournament on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend included food and drinks on Friday evening at Joe and Carol Fallen’s house and a great meal at The Log Inn in Haubstadt, Ind. on Saturday
The team of Tim Heath, Hal Coward, John Nellis, and Mike Pishlo won the Friday shamble.
Mike Harding won the Indiana Hickory Open with a birdie on the first playoff hole after a 149 tournament tie with Tim Heath. The first day leader was Jeremy Wright with a 74.
Larry Noel, with 134, was the reserve winner in the Open division. The Senior flight winner was Bill Tucholski with 157, and the reserve winner was Ed Ronco with 136. The Statesman was won by Max Hollon with 174, and Mike Pishlo was the reserve winner with 146. Kris Ellington won the ladies division.
