Stan Spring reports: “This past Saturday, April 6, the first annual historic City Park Hickory Golf tournament was held in Baton Rouge, La. I’ve posted some photos of the event which took place on the City Park Golf Course designed and constructed in 1928 as a links/parkland course by Tom Bendelow, the Johnny Appleseed and dean of U.S. golf architecture. The event was also a memorial played in honor of the late Bobby Duhe, a long-time supporter and past-president of the board of City Park. The tournament culminated with a gala Saturday night attended by the mayor who presented a proclamation making April 6 Bobby Duhe Day. Click here to see the photos and description of the event.
