2023 Pacific NW Gutty Championship

The Northwest Hickory Players has scheduled its third annual Pacific Northwest Gutty Championship for Oct. 7 at Meadowmeer Golf & CC.
Players compete in three Men’s Divisions: Park, Vardon and Braid (the last played with the McIntyre Braid Ball). Our Women’s Division is called the “Lady Margaret Scott Division,” in honor of the three time gutty-era British Amateur champion (1893-95).
Our 2021 Men’s Champion was Mr. Ray Tokareff of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.
Our 2022 Men’s Champion was Mr. Robert Birman of Washington.
Our Women’s Champion in both 2021 and 2022 was Ms. Paula Anderson, also of Washington.

Chris McIntyre (founder of McIntyre Golf) is serving as our honorary “Gutty Captain” for 2022-23. Capt. McIntyre “drove himself” into office in a ceremony held at the opening of the 2022 tournament.
