The Golf Heritage Society and Rutkowski Family invite you to the second annual Lake Erie Challenge, a day of golf with hickory and modern clubs. The venue is the Kahkwa Club, a legendary Donald Ross gem,  in Erie, Pa. The field is limited to the first 80 golfers who sign up, with an optional second day at Whispering Woods.

We will be playing a hickory division and modern club division at both courses. Awards for low gross and net will be presented for each day.  Friendly SKINS wagering will be available and a putting contest at Kahkwa.

Jim Rutkowski Sr., long-time personal friend of Arnold Palmer, has graciously extended an invitation to tour his extensive collection that morning at 10 a.m. The location is only 15 minutes from the club. Seriously, if you have an opportunity to see this collection, it should not be missed.

The Format – Kahkwa
11:30 a.m. – Registration, optional opportunity for putting contest and the World Famous John Rusbosin sports board.
Lunch available clubhouse, on your own, cash accepted.
1 p.m. – Shotgun start, foursomes based on registration and division of play.
6 p.m. – Dinner (included) in the clubhouse followed by awards.

Overnight accommodations can be arranged at Marriott Courtyard, which includes breakfast. (Not included in event fee.)

Optional Day – Whispering Woods
Stay overnight and join us for a second day of golf at Whispering Woods, a very challenging layout, you’re sure to enjoy. Play with your own group, or a special SKINS event is optional. Lodging for this day is available at the Fairfield Inn for the special rate of $104, with breakfast included.
8:30 a.m. – Shotgun start followed by lunch (included) and SKINS payout.
