Join fellow hickory players from across the country for this inaugural annual event to be played on the historic Owl Creek Country Club (1927) in Anchorage, Ky., near Louisville. This course was designed by George Davies, who is credited with some 40 courses over his lifetime, many in Indiana and Kentucky.

There’s more than hickory golf involved at the Bluegrass Hickory Open! We have scheduled a private event on Saturday at Churchill Downs, the home of the historic Kentucky Derby. On Sunday, following practice rounds, we’ll take a short bus ride to the grounds of the world-famous Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Ky., where we will take in a private tour of the Knob Creek Distillery, followed by tastings and Kentucky-themed hors d’oeuvres.

Monday’s first round is to be followed by an evening banquet. Tuesday’s final round begins with a shotgun start followed by an awards luncheon afterward. The tournament is sponsored by Firebird Group crafters of Steurer & Jacoby with special appreciation to Owl Creek Country Club; the Jim Beam Distillery; Churchill Downs and the Derby Museum and the Louisville Marriott East.

We have a limited number of rooms secured at the Louisville Marriott East Hotel, our host hotel.
