Inaugural Stars & Stripes Hickory Golf Classic

The newest event on the hickory golf calendar is hosted by SoHG Member Director Sam Sinclair and is designed as a fun competition and charitable fundraiser. The course is the East Potomac Golf Links, on a 300-acre peninsula of the Potomac River in our nation’s capital. The course was originally designed in 1919 by World Golf Hall of Fame member Walter J. Travis.
The format will be individual stroke play, following the Society of Hickory Golfers equipment guidelines. Lunch will be provided at the awards presentation following the conclusion of play. Wear your red, white, and blue…best patriotic dressed wins a prize!
The event begins with a 9 .m. shotgun start.

The designated charity is the Glut1 Deficiency Foundation, a nonprofit patient advocacy organization dedicated to supporting patients and families dealing with a rare genetic condition that impairs brain metabolism.
