Ottawa Hickory Golf Challenge
June 6 - June 8

Canadian Chris Hawes is the host of this new event. He writes:
As most of you know I am back to hosting my annual golf tournament … with a twist. It is a hickory golf tournament complete with clubs (provided) and 1920s golf attire (if you wish). It will be focused on enjoyment of the day and designed to be as affordable as possible for all to enjoy. It is a really a fun way to spend a day. And you’re using 100 year old clubs, so forget the score and just play for the most fun possible! That said, great prizes and contests as well.
Date: Friday June 6th – NOON ish 🙂
Format: Scramble (two person)
Where: Manderley on the Green
Cost: $150 per player
What do you get?: Golf, Cart, Dinner, Hickory club rental included, Ottawa Hickory Golf Challenge Golf Shirt, Prizes, A golf goodie bag! Great prizes.
Hole in One prizes.
This day is focused on maximizing fun. Our goal is 144 golfers, 15,000 laughs, and priceless memories.
It is a throwback to 1920s hickory golf. Dress up in knickers …or not. Come out, play and party like it is 1929!

* I ask folks to register as soon as possible and to provide their golf shirt size. No point having a woman’s small tank top if you are built like me. So lead time helps ensure we get everything right.
For any of you who have businesses and can sponsor a hole or provide prizes… please do.
Your sign and advertising will run for the full three days. All fees go back into the meals, gifts and prizes for participants of the event.
A Charity Silent Auction follows the round.
Please note there is an individual Stroke Play Open on Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is welcome to participate in that as well. But most importantly it is the Scramble on Friday to kick off the summer in style.
