The first Polish Hickory Open and traditional tournament Retro Cup took place Sept. 6-8, at Palace Brzezno in Poland. From Friday till Sunday, Retro Festival participants could participate in many attractions in the atmosphere of the 20-30 years of the last century. The hickory tournament was attended, among others, by Christoph Meister, secretary of the European Association of Golf Historians & Collectors. On Saturday, individual tournaments took place and team tournaments were played on Sunday. Over 50 players have played in those four tournaments.
Pawel Jaroch is the first winner of Polish Hickory Open, Anthony Kerr won Retro Cup. In the pairs tournament the winners are Janusz Cymanek and Jan Dworzanski – Polish Hickory Open; and Ewa Nosal/Falk Rohmberger in the Retro Cup.
