July 10, 2021 – David Webster reports:
On July 8, five foursomes hailing from eight different states played in rainy conditions in the inaugural Lake Sunapee CC Hickory Classic, in New London, N.H. Lake Sunapee is a beautiful restored Donald Ross course and the longtime home and club of The Squire, Gene Sarazen. Bill Geisler and David Webster shared low gross just breaking 80, followed by Bill Wardwell and young Sam Webster. Bern Bernacki took low net followed by Irene Dionne who also won the Ladies. Prizes were local Sunapee Dartmouth region maple syrup. A “Big Thanks” to all who came; we’re hoping to do it again bigger, better, and stronger next year.
